ID verification is the second identity check on Snapiro. You need it, together with BVN verification, to send crypto to an external wallet. You must verify your BVN first.
Accepted IDs
- National ID (NIN)
- International passport
- Driver’s licence
Voter’s cards are not accepted for this check.
Before you start
- Have the ID with you, and make sure it has not expired.
- Take clear photos of the front and back in good light, with all four corners visible and no glare over the text.
- The name on the ID must match your account name, which comes from your BVN.
Steps
- Go to Settings, View Profile, Account Verification, then ID Card Verification.
- Read the checklist and tap Continue.
- Under Select an ID, choose National ID, Int’l Passport or Drivers License.
- Enter the ID Number exactly as printed.
- Upload the Front and Back images. Both are required.
- Tap Submit. You will see “Id Verified Successfully”.
If it fails
- Kindly verify your BVN: complete BVN verification first.
- Id Data does not match your account name: see what to do about a name mismatch.
- ID Number is required: the ID number box is empty.
- If nothing happens when you tap Submit, check that both the front and back images are uploaded.
