How to Verify Your Phone Number

Verifying your phone number links a Nigerian mobile number to your Snapiro account.

Steps

1. Tap Settings, View Profile, then Account Verification.
2. Tap Phone Number Verification.
3. Enter your 11-digit number, for example 08012345678, and tap Confirm.
4. We send a 6-digit code by SMS. It is valid for 10 minutes.
5. Enter the code and tap Verify.
6. When you see “You’ve successfully verified your phone number”, tap Back to Settings.

Check your status

Back on Account Verification, the phone row shows Verified once it is done. If it still shows Pending…, the code was not accepted. Start again and request a new code.

If the SMS does not arrive

• Make sure the number has signal and is not on DND settings that block service messages.
• Wait for the countdown to finish, then tap resend.
• Check that you typed all 11 digits, starting with 0.

Messages you may see

• Invalid phone number: check the number format.
• Phone Number already verified: your number is already confirmed. Nothing more to do.
• OTP Mismatch… Try Again: the code is wrong or expired. Request a new one.
