How to Buy Electricity on Snapiro

Buy prepaid electricity tokens or pay postpaid bills for the major distribution companies in Nigeria, from your naira wallet.

Steps

1. On the home screen, tap Buy Electricity.
2. Under Select Provider, choose your distribution company, for example Ikeja Electric, AEDC or Port Harcourt Electric.
3. Under Select Meter Type, choose prepaid or postpaid.
4. Enter your Meter Number, or tap Saved Meters to pick one you saved before. We check the number with your provider before you pay.
5. Enter the amount.
6. Tap Proceed and enter your transaction PIN.

Your token

For prepaid meters, the Electricity Token screen opens with:

• your token number
• the units in kWh
• your meter number and the customer name and address on the meter
• the reference and date

We also send the token by email and push notification. Tap Save Receipt to keep a copy. You can open the token again later from the notification.

Enter the token on your meter’s keypad, then press Enter. You earn 1% cashback on every successful purchase.
