If your gift card trade is declined, its status changes to Failed and you get a notification with the reason. Common reasons are:
- Already redeemed: the card or code was used before we checked it.
- Unreadable: the photo is blurry, or the code panel is scratched too hard to read.
- Wrong type or currency: for example a UK card submitted as USD, or a physical card submitted as an e-code.
- Missing code: an e-code was submitted without the code in User Remarks.
- Invalid card: the card was never activated, or the receipt does not match the card.
- Duplicate: the same card was uploaded more than once.
What you can do
- Read the reason in the notification.
- If the problem was the photo or details, and the card has not been used, submit it again with the correct information.
- If you think the decision is wrong, contact support with the transaction ID from History.
Only sell cards you bought yourself or received from someone you trust. Cards bought with stolen payment details are often cancelled by the issuer. See tips for e-code and physical cards.
