Not directly. Sell USDT, BTC or another coin for naira in the Snapiro app first. Then tap Buy Electricity, choose Yola Electricity, pick prepaid or postpaid, enter your meter number and amount, and pay from your naira balance.
Where do I get my YEDC token?
Your token and units show in the app as soon as the payment goes through. We also send them to your email and as a notification.
Can I pay a postpaid YEDC bill?
Yes. Choose Postpaid and enter your account or meter number. The payment goes to your Yola Electricity account.
Which areas does Yola Electricity cover?
Yola Electricity serves Adamawa, Taraba, Borno and Yobe. If you are not sure which company serves you, check an old token receipt or your electricity bill.
What if I do not get a token?
If Yola Electricity does not accept the payment, the amount goes back to your naira balance. If you were charged and see no token, contact support with the transaction reference.
Do I need crypto to pay for Yola Electricity?
No. You can add money to your Snapiro naira balance from ₦500 and pay for Yola Electricity straight away. Selling crypto is another way to top up the same balance.
Do I earn cashback on Yola Electricity payments?
Yes. You earn 1% back on every Yola Electricity payment made from your Snapiro balance. It collects in your cashback wallet, and you can move it to your naira balance once it reaches ₦5,000.
